Sacraments

Baptism

Baptism is the first sacrament of initiation in the Catholic Church. Through baptism we receive the free and unmerited gift of God's grace, are cleansed of the stain of original sin, and adopted as sons and daughters of God the Father.

Contact the Mr. Joseph H. Munning IV, our Parish Catechetical Leader, if you need to make other arrangements. He'd be happy to speak with you.

Preparation sessions start in the spring semester during which time the children, accompanied by their parents, grow in faith and knowledge as they prepare to receive these wonderful sacraments. Children need to be baptized prior to the reception of these sacraments.

Confirmation

Confirmation completes the sacraments of initiation into the Christian life. By this sacrament, our Lord Jesus Christ confirms us and places in our hearts, the Holy Spirit. The gifts of the Holy Spirit, granted to us in our baptism, become active within us that we may serve as instruments of the Holy Spirit in our proclamation of the Gospel message to the world. To learn more about changes our diocese is making the preparation for the sacrament for young people, click the "Learn More" button below to learn more on our Religious Education page. If you are an adult interested in learning more about confirmation preparation for your child or even for yourself, please feel free to reach out to the office and let us know, or click the "Ask Us Anything" button below. We'll get back to you.
