Divine Mercy Sunday

The Divine Mercy message reveals God’s infinite love and forgiveness for every soul. Jesus entrusted this message to St. Faustina Kowalska in the 1930s, asking that an image be painted of Him with rays of red and pale light flowing from His Heart and the words, “Jesus, I trust in You.” At the heart of this devotion is trust in His mercy. Jesus promised that no sinner should fear approaching Him, for His mercy is greater than any sin. He made a special promise for Divine Mercy Sunday: those who go to Confession and receive Holy Communion will receive complete remission of sin and punishment, restoring the soul to the grace of baptism.
