"The purpose of the Saint Maria Goretti Youth Distinction is to recognize adolescents for their outstanding contribution to the life, mission, and ministry provided to their family, parish, school, and community. The distinction is celebrated as a Local Church at the Celebration of a youth Mass."

-Office of Youth and Young Adult Ministry

Each year the Diocese of Evansville invites each of the parishes to nominate up to two exemplary high school students for this award.  We encourage every parishioner regardless of age to vote for those students in the parish they feel worthy of this award.  Nominations can be cast in the survey boxes below.  Please submit nominations by December 1, 2021.  Holy Family is proud to have so many young people living as witnesses to the love of Jesus.  They show others the power of charity and service by living their Catholic faith.

  • The students must be high school juniors or seniors.
  • The students must be enrolled and participating in a Catholic Wednesday night religious education program.

  • The students must have a history of service in the parish.
